๐ Player Attributes
Understanding a playerโs attributes is the first step in building and evaluating your players. The majority of attributes will be rated from 1-20, however, some ratings may go against that rule and we need to get a rough idea of what those stats mean. There are also some hidden attributes that we canโt see their ratings for so letโs discuss how to figure out what theyโre rated for so you have an idea of where to rate them.
There are different Attributes to a player:
Their General Attributes, such as Age, Place of Birth and Height. We won't be covering those, as they're pretty evident. These are under Physical stats.
Their Traits and other aspects of their Personality. These are governed under Mental stats.
Their Technical Attributes.
For Goalkeepers, it is Goalkeeping Attributes instead.
Depending on your preferred playing style, each attribute will affect your overall player performance. The technical attributes are an indication of the playerโs use of his feet, his control of the ball, and his shooting ability. The mental attributes account for how determined, biased, and tactical a player is in regards to his teamโs needs. Lastly, physical attributes go hand-in-hand with stamina and speed โ those two stats affect how long a player can play before needing a rest.
Technical Stats
Technical stats are trained on how accurate a player is when performing an action, such as passing and shooting. These attributes are responsible for how close you can get to the goal, or how capable your movement is when being pressured.
Mental Stats
While all of your stats are important, Mental comes into play when you need to outthink your opponents on the pitch. This value will impact your ability to cross and make interceptions, but also show how well you can read the play and anticipate what's coming next
Physical Stats
Physical attributes are all about the playerโs build and where they want to position themselves on the field. Players with high ratings in physical attributes will be able to move faster and get into better positions than their opponents. As a result, they are better able to anticipate their opponentsโ next moves - and make their own first. Becoming a star player means physical attributes are key. Whether you are short, tall, fast, or strong, being able to play multiple positions is a bonus!
